The Banshee Lives in a Handball Alley is an archival collection of local stories told by the fourh and fifth classes of three Limerick City Schools.
These stories reveal a remarkable knowledge and wealth of local folklore, ancient and contemporary, which were completed in the boundless imaginations of the storytellers themselves.
The Banshee Lives in a Handball Alley was launched at the screening event in the local handball alley on Kings Island, a site which features prominently in the children's stories, on the evening of Saturday March 12th 2005.
