Phil Berry, Wexford singer and songwriter of note, has a long involvement with traditional singing stretching back over four decades. An All-Ireland winner in Mens' Senior Ballads and Newly Composed Ballads, Phil belongs to a family steeped in traditional singing. A brother of well-known singer and collector Paddy, Phil has toured Ireland with Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann and is a founding member of the Wexford Traditional Singers Club in his native Wexford.
Ronan Berry has been singing at Fleadhanna Ceoil since the age of eight, and is an accomplished singer having competed in All Irelands at all age groups. The importance of family connection can be seen throughout this unique collaboration, nowhere more so than in his rendition of 'The Trip Over the Mountain', which sees Ronan carrying on a family tradition from his grandfather and Uncle Paddy. He is also well-known at singing weekends throughout the country.
